In order to achieve a goal you should have a clear idea about that goal. It often happens that a person has several wishes regarding his/her future soulmate, that are contradicting one to each other. For example, girls often dream about a man who is “strong and resolute”, and in the same time “he should be romantic and sensitive.” Probably this combination can indeed exist somewhere, but we’d better prioritize our wishlist and figure out which traits are really important.
Ok, lets start..
Ok, now we’re going to paint a picture of your perfect date. In order to do this, please answer a few questions. These questions are actually for you, not for us. Question #6 - final - very important.
Imaging that it happended that you did something that you would not like that your party would do for you. This can be anything: breaking a promise, minor or major betrayal or breach of faith.
Obviously, you have a choice:
1) Confess and honestly talk about this, even if this could be a really really hard talk.
2) Pretend like nothing has happened and he/she won't know about that.
Which option you would choose and how do you think it affects your relationship?
Important knowledge which is critical for successful relationship:
The only reason why person A starts to actively criticize person B is when A did something against B. In other words, when A did something that he/she actually would not like that B does against A. In general sense, this is known as betrayal. This can be something serious or something small. It does not actually matter. The only thin that matters is that A wants to forget what he/she did agains B and wants to hide this from B. If A can talk to B about that, then this is not a betrayal. This is the only criteria.
Key lesson: there are no other reasons for persistent critics then betrayal.
Persistent critics is the most clear symptom of a betrayal.
A needs to critisize B in order to justify that what he/she did was right. This is because every person wants to be consistent and to feel "right".
By looking for negative things about B, A actually justifies his/her own act.
Betrayal of A is not something that others can judge about. No one can tell A if his/her certain act was a betrayal or not. Its completely internal thing for A. And A should decide himself whether its like that or not. This is in his/her interest, because betrayals destroy people relationship from inside.
This might be difficult to accept this knowledge. We do not ask you to accept. Just overserve and come to your own conclusions.
Moreover, A can immediately "remove" his/her betrayal by talking to B about that - to do a kind of confession.
It is possible to make an agreement with your party, that in case anyone of you feels on has a betrayal, you will talk it out, regardless of how serious or funny it could be.
Question: do you think this kind of agreement will make your relationship stronger?
